Hello there friends!
My name is Nicole Follen. Artist, Freelancer, Educator. Lover of all creatures both big and small, coffee, craft beer, naps, yoga + positive vibes. I am a Cleveland native raised in the suburb known as the land of pierogis. Aka: Parma, Ohio.
I received my BA in Communication Arts and Graphic Design with a double concentration in Graphic Art and Photography from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. During my last year of undergrad, I realized just how much I needed more photo wonderfulness in my life, which led me to attend the Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for my MFA in Photography. I also learned my love for teaching as I taught black and white film, digital, and design classes.
In conjunction with my freelance work, I teach Photography and Graphic Design classes at a liberal arts college in the Cleveland area. I am also the Educational Program Coordinator downtown at the Cleveland Print Room, a non-profit photography organization. Here, I create, develop and teach photography workshops including: analog, alternative and digital photography to multigenerational audiences, while also being responsible for maintaining consistent budget plans and material lists for each workshop in addition to remaining current on the design trends in the photography world.
Feel free to hang out and check out my current projects, student work and my link to my photography freelance work. I am always up for stimulating art chats any time! Be sure to drop by often and say hello every once in a while too!
